The San Diego Master Chorale is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations and corporate gifts are fully deductible and support the operation of our volunteer singing group.
The annual Chorale budget primarily funds the staff and limited office space necessary to prepare for, coordinate, and conduct in excess of twenty-five performances each year. Our paid part-time staff includes our Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Accompanist, General Manager, and Administrator.
Concert income covers about twenty percent of our annual costs. Contributions from the SDMC Board and from our singers account for another forty percent. We are fortunate to receive a grant from the City of San Diego, which with other grants contributes about ten percent.
Despite these sources of support, we must rely on the generosity of our donors and corporate sponsors to provide about thirty per cent of our operating costs.
If you have enjoyed our performances in the past, and believe that sustaining this organization for the cultural benefit of the San Diego community is worthwhile, we invite you to join our group of Chorale donors or corporate sponsors.
If you would like information on donating as an individual or providing a corporate sponsorship, please contact us.
