While our live choral performances are temporarily canceled, we want to connect with you by sharing what we have in common – our voice.
The human voice touches our souls in ways nothing else can. Quarantined Italians sing to soothe their isolation and demonstrate their desire to come together. Live choral music meets two fundamental needs in times of crisis: the need for emotional expression, and the visceral need to come together as a community. While our live choral performances are temporarily canceled, the SD Master Chorale has recorded a special piece of music just for you and wants to help our San Diego communities heal and come together in times of struggle, celebrate in times of joy, and transcend generations with timeless music.
The SD Master Chorale is particularly concerned about your well-being during times like these. We realize you need to focus on your family’s health and safety and we recognize that this health crisis may have created significant financial hardships.
We, too, are experiencing these hardships as our performances are canceled. We depend on the revenue from our concerts to provide live choral music not only to our concert audiences but also to undeserved schools, as well as isolated seniors in our community through our outreach services. We inherently yearn for the experience and joy that live music provides. We can look to the future and know that we will be together again!

The Chorale was founded in 1961, and today continues its artistic ascent, collaborative programming, and community outreach under the leadership of Music Director Dr. John K. Russell.
