San Diego Master Chorale Announces 65th Season
San Diego Master Chorale Celebrates 65th Season with Inspiring Concerts, New Learning Studio and Community Programs
(San Diego, CA) — The San Diego Master Chorale proudly announces its 65th Anniversary Season, presenting four inspiring programs that span traditions, cultures, and centuries of choral music. From luminous sacred works to spirited community singing and a finale celebrating America’s rich musical heritage, the 2025–26 Season promises music that uplifts, connects, and inspires.
Season highlights include Echoes, a rich tapestry of sound blending traditions of remembrance and joy, featuring the San Diego Children’s Choir; the 15th annual Messiah Sing; Lux, featuring Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna; and Americana, a vibrant celebration of our nation’s musical heritage. All tickets go on sale September 16, 2025.
This milestone year also marks the launch of The Learning Studio, a new hub for creative growth and community connection. The Learning Studio will host Vocal Foundations, a workshop series for adult singers, and Choral Bridges, a partnership with San Diego State University that gives music education majors hands-on experience in performance, production, and arts leadership.
Beloved community programs return, including the Side-by-Side Concert with high school singers (Oct. 19, 2025), Beer Choir SD (Spring 2026), and Prelude Tickets, which provide free admission to students. The Chorale will also appear as a guest with the San Diego Symphony in Home Alone in Concert (Dec. 13, 2025) and Noel Noel (Dec. 19–21, 2025).
“For our 65th Anniversary year, we’ve crafted a season that invites audiences to experience the full emotional range of choral music—from reflection and remembrance to celebration and joy,” said John K. Russell, Music Director. “Each program offers a unique way to connect—with history, with community, and with the transcendent beauty of the human voice.”
