ABOUT BEER CHOIR Beer Choir is a national singing movement founded by composer Michael Engelhardt in 2015. If you like beer, and you like singing, you’ll love Beer Choir. All are welcome to join in with the proprietary Beer Choir Hymnal, a songbook of 40 drinking song classics, original works, and favorite melodies updated with irreverent lyrics. Beer Advocate Magazine notes “ [this] merry band of vocal enthusiasts have tapped into something deeper and broader than expected.” This isn’t like your traditional choir – if you show up the night of a Beer Choir event, you ARE the choir! No singing experienced required, just come and sing, drink, and laugh together!

ABOUT CHORAL CONSORTIUM OF SAN DIEGO The Choral Consortium of San Diego (CCSD) is a choral arts service organization consisting of over 80 diverse choral groups from around the San Diego/Tijuana region. Their mission is to unite, support, and promote the vibrant choral community of the San Diego/Tijuana region through collaboration, inclusion, and performance. CCSD was founded in 2010 by leaders of area choirs, in response to a need for better communication and coordination among the choirs. Benefits of working together included the opportunity to share resources, promote each other’s concerts, and develop community-wide programs to highlight the many opportunities to sing in choirs and the value of choral music. In 2014, the Choral Consortium of San Diego incorporated, formed a Board of Directors, and became a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO MASTER CHORALE Since 1961, the San Diego Master Chorale has presented inspiring and exhilarating performances throughout San Diego County. Featuring 140 of the region’s finest singers, the Chorale performs classical masterworks, new music by contemporary composers, and diverse works under the direction of Music Director John K. Russell.

Each year, the SD Master Chorale reaches tens of thousands of listeners, both on stage and off, through live performances across San Diego including collaborations with the San Diego Symphony and Mainly Mozart Festival, and through broadcasts on San Diego’s NPR station, KPBS. The mission of SD Master Chorale is to connect all people to the joy of professional-caliber live choral music and enrich lives by sharing what we have in common — our voice.
