The Learning Studio

The Learning Studio at San Diego Master Chorale is a welcoming hub for singing, learning, and community connection in Mission Valley. Through classes, workshops, and group music experiences, people of different ages and experience levels can develop their skills and connect through song.

Our mission with The Learning Studio is to expand access to high-quality arts experiences, strengthen community ties, and create opportunities for meaningful engagement throughout the year.

Since 1961, the San Diego Master Chorale has shared music with our community. The Learning Studio continues that tradition in a new way—by offering workshops, classes, and space for people to come together through song. It is both a celebration of our history and a step toward the future, creating opportunities for music to connect and uplift people of all ages.

SINGING PROGRAMS AT THE LEARNING STUDIO

Current programs include:

  • Vocal Foundations — Progressive vocal training for adult singers, with two course levels based on experience. No audition is required.
  • Encore ROCKS San Diego — A welcoming rock ’n’ roll singing program created especially for adults 55 and older.
  • Choral Foundations — Workshops that help singers strengthen ensemble skills such as blend, balance, tuning, diction, and musical communication.

Through The Learning Studio, San Diego Master Chorale expands access to high-quality music education and creates opportunities for people to learn, sing, and build community throughout the year.
